Job Title: Sr Software EngineerDuration : ContractLocation : Dearborn, MI Responsibilities:· Seeking an experienced and highly competent Senior Level COBOL Software Engineer/Developer to work on Enhancement, New Development, & Production Support· Projects for a mission critical Legacy Application (Vehicle Invoicing and Drafting, VI&D).· Vehicle Invoicing and Drafting is a Mainframe/COBOL Legacy application; approx. 50+ years old with Online and Batch Programs.· The ideal candidate is independent, very organized, with a keen sense of detail and a natural ability to develop solutions.· Candidate performs superbly under pressure and can balance a number of disparate projects.· The Software Engineer must deliver their project on time and with high quality, according to defined processes. Experience with Agile methodology is a must.· Difficult situations and business partner conversations must be handled tactfully. Both the Business and the Team must like you, trust you, and feel comfortable around you.· VI&D is a mission critical application and core to Ford Motor Company, so some level of stress is expected. Logical/Critical Thinker.· COBOL Expert .JCL .VSAM .DB2 .IMS (Strong IMS - Online and Batch) .IBM Utilities (file manager, IEB GENER) .ENDEVOR.· Excellent/OUTSTANDING communication skills (verbal and written) .Superb documentation Skills.
