About the Role

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our client's high-performance trading platform. This platform is the backbone of their operation, distributed across datacenters and offices globally. Your expertise will ensure the platform's reliability, efficiency, and scalability to meet the growing demands of the business.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve Linux based server issues.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain OS packages, batch files, and scripts.
• Optimize systems to reduce latency and increase operational efficiency.
• Manage system configurations, and execute move, add, and change requests.
• Collaborate with internal tech groups and external vendors to deliver optimal solutions.
• Contribute to long-term infrastructure strategies and capacity planning.

Ideal Candidate

Up to 10 years of experience in Linux/Unix administration. Strong understanding of networking protocols and network topology (NFS, DHCP, IP, TCP, UDP, TFTP and NTP). Proficiency in kernel tuning and a solid understanding of networking protocols. Familiarity with Kickstart, Ansible, Yum, Git, SVN.Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.). Experience with BIOS configuration. Analytical, innovative, and strategic thinking capabilities. Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle shifting priorities and manage multiple projects.
