Piper Health Sciences is seeking an Animal Research Technician to join a pre-clinical organization focusing on in vivo models of human diseases located in Rockville, MD. The Animal Research Technician will provide technical and record keeping tasks associated with nonhuman primates.
Responsibilities of the Animal Research Technician include
Perform clinical observations and post-surgical observationsAssist with necropsy procedures including tissue collectionCollect samples of blood, tissue, and other fluids from animalsAssist with IV, SC, intranasal and intramuscular injectionsProvide daily care and maintenance for all research animals and facilities
Qualifications for the Animal Research Technician include
Previous experience working with and handling various animals Bachelor of Science in a related field or high school diploma
Compensation for the Animal Research Technician include
Salary Range: $26-31/hr **depending on experience**Full Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision, 401k
