Sr. Software Engineer
Prestige Staffing has partnered with a leading FinTech company on their search for a Sr. Software Engineer role. They are looking for a back end focused engineer to help them build out the APIs and microservices that power two of their primary applications that allow customers to manager their investments. In this role you will work primarily with Java and Spring Boot, as well as other technologies such as RabbitMQ and Redis.
This is a great opportunity to work on a small team building enterprise level applications and have true ownership of your code. This is a permanent role and will follow a hybrid schedule (working 3 days a week in their NYC office).
Responsibilities
Design, develop and support RESTful APIs from scratch using JavaBuild microservices leveraging Spring BootWork closely with Product Management team to understand user needs and feature requirementsContribute to documentation for new developmentLeverage RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication
Requirements:6+ years of development experience, ideally focused on the back endAt least 3 years of professional Java experienceSpring and Spring Boot experienceExperience with RabbitMQ preferredExperience with Redis preferredBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
