R&D Lab Specialist

Position Overview:We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an R&D Lab Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our research and development efforts by assisting with routine tasks, tests, and evaluations of beauty products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Your responsibilities will include tracking testing status, documenting results, and facilitating communication across departments for all R&D and package-related testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist R&D Lab Specialist I in daily tasks to ensure smooth lab operations.
• Maintain and document testing status and results throughout the testing process.
• Manage samples throughout testing, including receipt, testing initiation, and evaluation at required time points.
• Fill and assemble samples for testing purposes.
• Conduct daily tasks such as cleaning, retaining samples per protocol, handling mail, shipping samples when necessary, labeling, and organizing samples for testing.
• Additional Responsibilities:

Provide support to cross-functional partners in the lab space, including Quality Assurance (QA) and Manufacturing Engineering (MFE) teams, as needed. Additional Information:

Candidate Qualifications:Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred. Curiosity or interest in personal care and beauty products is highly desirable. Knowledge of formulation and production processes for beauty products is advantageous. Interest in the engineering of packaging components is a plus. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. Strong organizational skills are necessary for managing testing processes.

Nice To Have:Bachelor's degree in a Scientific/Engineering field is preferred. Experience with Excel and SAP software is advantageous. Related work experience in QA/R&D or laboratory environments is beneficial. Familiarity with spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting is a plus.
