Low Latency Network Engineer
A leading high-frequency trading firm based in New York is seeking an adept Low-Latency Network Engineer with strong Multicast and Python skills to build out, automate, optimize, and maintain their mission-critical low-latency network.
Responsibilities:Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and manage network infrastructureImplement network system optimizationsAssist with planned maintenance (migrations, expansions, hardware and software upgrades)Provide technical expertise and support to a high-frequency trading floor in a competitive market-making environmentContribute towards building our automated network provisioningPlay a role in rebuilding the LAN network and redesigning the Data Center network
Requirements:Strong network and performance monitoring skills and knowledge of network capacity planningExperience working across LAN and global WAN networksCisco and Arista network equipment experience is ideal (although other vendors will be considered)Experience working on low-latency networksExperience troubleshooting network transport protocols – TCP/UDPDeep understanding and experience with routing protocols (such as OSPF, BGP)Strong experience with multicastExperience with security products and firewallsStrong Python scripting skills
