The perfect candidate should have a deep understanding, vast experience, and outstanding abilities in overseeing numerous projects, ranging from large-scale endeavors to smaller initiatives, across different phases such as new construction and retrofit projects.

Responsibilities

Key Requirements

Proficient in managing multiple commercial Building Management Systems (BMS) projects. Familiarity with industry standards such as NICET, CFPS, PSP, CAPM, or PMP, or equivalent certifications/experience. Thorough understanding and experience with BMS best practices and building codes. strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, engineers, system designers, lead technicians, subcontractors, and coordinators. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a readiness to provide support across all internal teams as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical proficiency and experience with EST-Edwards, Lenel, Genetec, Bosch, and Avigilon systems. Demonstrated experience in effectively managing and coordinating projects within the commercial BMS industry.

Level Descriptions

Level 1: Capable of achieving many objectives of this position with some supervision to ensure tasks are accomplished and communication is adequate. Level 2: Consistently achieves all objectives and provides mentoring and supervision to Level 1 positions. Senior: Highly experienced, deeply understands various systems, may act as a lead on complex projects, and provides mentoring and supervision as needed.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Provides input on technical and business considerations for projects. Ensures correct booking and completion of project documents. Determines alignment of customer expectations with company capabilities. Identifies and resolves project issues and forecasts costs accurately. Coordinates material orders and subcontractors efficiently. Assists in estimating and identifies change order opportunities. Provides support for building operating issues and ongoing service engineering. Communicates effectively internally and externally.

Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma required; technical or undergraduate degree preferred. Experience in electronics, programming, troubleshooting, and communication. Ability to work with electronic equipment and understand electrical circuitry. Empathetic understanding and problem-solving skills. Level 2 and Senior Project Managers possess deep understanding and experience in building control systems and integration support.
