Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. This position involves a broad range of responsibilities focused on payroll, budget, financial reporting, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, verifying coding, credit card charge approvals and reconciliations, working with external auditors, and 990 preparations.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the entire accounting department including payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, and financial reportingConduct timely and accurate bank reconciliations to ensure financial stability and transparencyHandle accounts payable and regulate the coding process to ensure accurate and effective tracking of financial transactionsDistribute credit card charge approvals and set rules for finance-related actions to ensure compliance with company regulations and policiesReview, develop, and improve financial policies and procedures to streamline financial operations and improve financial healthPrepare and submit annual 990 reports to the IRS in compliance with federal laws and regulationsAuditing financial information and practices regularly. This includes handling any incomplete audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standardsTurning complicated financial data into understandable and actionable business information to be used by managers and decision-makers in the companyPresent financial reports, audit results, and other related financial information to the board of directors regularly and in a clear and standardized manner
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degre in Accounting/Finance - Master's and/or CPA is a plus10+ years of experience working as a ControllerStrong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including the preparation of financial reports, records, and auditsExperience working with multiple revenue streamsExcellent leadership and interdisciplinary skillsStrong presentation skills, particularly with a board or senior teamProficient in accounting software and other business-related software and tools
