Sr. Accountant

Description

Robert Half is searching for a Senior Accountant due to growth with previous accounting experience who is interested in working with an esteemed Wholesale Distribution firm. Your talents will be used to prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, help with technical accounting memos, prepare audits, and work on ASB 606 ccompliance. Candidates should enjoy analytical tasks, challenges, and fast-paced environments. This Senior Accountant role is located in Chino, California. What you get to do every single day

Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations Engage in various department-wide initiatives Make general ledger entries Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests Handle revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

Requirements

3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills Proficient in ERP systems Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills General ledger experience required Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines BA/BS in Accounting required, CPA credentials are preferred
