SAIC has an opening for a Defense Engineering Intern to support the Software Development Team onsite at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
Job Description
Limited use and/or application of technical principles, theories, and conceptsReceives assignments in the form of specific tasks for the work to be completedWork is reviewed by management to measure meeting objectives and schedulesSupports preparation of detail designSupport development with embedded software for military systems
FOCUS AREAS
Computer / Software Engineering – support full software life cycle development (requirements analysis, design, code, integration, test, documentation and support) following CMMI processes for military systems DevSecOps – support and deliver solutions for DevSecOps production chains to rapidly build, test, and deployTest Engineering - assist with static and dynamic design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment and packages
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION
AA degree and three (3) years of college or work related experience.
Required Skills
Proficiency in basic computer skills, virtual meeting, and using cloud based toolsSolid work experience with customers/resolving issues while meeting schedule requirementsMust possess good oral and written communications skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteMust be motivated, adaptable, and flexibleExcellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detailAbility to encourage, inspire, and participate in teamwork
Required Clearance
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship). Some programs may allow for Intern to start without clearance (active clearance preferred)
