Company Description Serenity House Communities is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2015 by Tara Moreno with a mission to provide addiction prevention services in Flint, Michigan. As a recovery community organization, Serenity House offers substance abuse and co-occurring disorders prevention for men, women, and adolescents. Through a Community Resiliency model, Serenity House empowers individuals to overcome addiction and trauma from a holistic perspective. Services provided include advocacy, educational events, and holistic methods such as Recovery Reiki, Acudetox, Mindfulness, Yoga, Aromatherapy, and Drumming. Serenity House is committed to promoting change, reducing stigma, and providing a better understanding of recovery.
Role Description This is a full-time on-site role as an Outreach Worker at Serenity House Communities located in Lapeer, MI. The Outreach Worker will be responsible for conducting community outreach activities, building relationships with stakeholders, providing case management services, and delivering educational programs. They will also engage in interpersonal communication, social work, and collaborate with other team members to support individuals in their recovery journey.
