Job Description:Our respected client, a prominent entity within the local government sector, is in search of a skilled and experienced Senior SQL Server Database Developer. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead various facets of database development, including support for COTS and in-house applications, new database design, and maintenance of data warehousing systems.
Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive support for COTS and in-house application databases and integrations. Lead the design and development of new databases to align with evolving business requirements. Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of data warehousing solutions. Serve as a backup for various DBA functions as required.
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered. Possess at least 5 years of extensive experience in database design and development, with a focus on MS SQL.Proficiency with SQL Server (2016 or 2019) and associated technologies. Demonstrated expertise in T-SQL, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), and ETL processes. Familiarity with SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) and related technologies. Proven experience in building reports and dashboards using SSRS.Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehouse concepts. Experience with Heterogeneous Data integration (preferred). Familiarity with MS SQL replication and always-on technologies (preferred).
