Job Description
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for mechanical design/packaging electronics. The candidate will be required to meet with project stake holders on a regular basis to understand technical issues and develop solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently, develops and implements concepts for range of significantly complex product issues and engineering solutions.• Technically lead and/or execute engineering projects and spearhead research and development of new technologies, as appropriate• Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of significantly complex engineering problems.• Specify or perform significantly complex engineering analysis.• Interface with internal and external customers regarding significantly complex engineering issues to address customers High Value Problems (HVP) for a range of products.• Generate product specifications. Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering tests.• Specify and review engineering documentation and engineering processes. Functional Knowledge• 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in mechanical engineering and design• Experienced in 3D CAD systems (NX) and Teamcenter is preferred.• Hands-on experience with mechanical development and design of high voltage products• Experience in analysis, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and root-causing electro-mechanical systems.• Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related software• You have good analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.• You are a team player and have the ability and self-motivation to learn quickly and independently.• You demonstrate strong technical leadership skills and a commitment to delivering high quality products while adhering to strict deadlines.• You foster an environment that welcomes and encourages new and innovative design concepts, inventions, patents, and product opportunities for improvement.
