Data Analytics InternSurge Staffing is seeking a Data Analytics Intern to support our Data Analytics Team in interpreting data, analyzing trends, and generating actionable insights to drive business decisions. This role will involve collecting, consolidating, and analyzing financial data, as well as mapping data sources for future usage.
Position Type: Internship (Full-time, Monday - Friday)
Location: Surge Staffing Headquarters, Columbus, OH

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:Collect, consolidate, and analyze financial data in alignment with company goals and financial standingMap data sources for future usageGather, assemble, and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risksSupport the development of financial organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendationsAssist in establishing financial operational strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, and designing data systemsAnalyze organization operations to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancementAdditional duties as assigned
Qualifications:At least a Junior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related fields2+ years of progressive experience with MS SQLExperience with database access and documentationAbility to analyze large datasets and generate comprehensive reportsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical mindset with a problem-solving inclinationAttention to detail and ability to define new data collection and analysis processesAbility to adapt and learn new skills as required
