Description
TEKsystems is looking to bring in a contract Sr. Network Engineer until the end of 2024.
Will be supporting their ticketing que - Typical tickets are connectivity issues, carrier hiccups, or peer-to-peer circuits Any automation exp. would be good Cisco experience Certifications are always nice to see as well Needing to free up current staff to focus on some of the other projects internally such as Autoban which is a project where they’re replacing their switches in SD.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Design, configuration/deployment and documentation of complex L1/L2/L3 protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, Segment Routing, L2/L3, VoIP and Video topologies.
- Specifically looking for relative experience with internet peering solutions.
- Direct knowledge of Cisco routers and switches Experience implementing network cybersecurity capabilities to include web-proxy filters, multi-tiered DMZs, ACI network segmentation, intrusion detection/prevention, and data loss prevention Exhibit leadership qualities by taking the initiative to identify and resolve issues Responsible for technical leadership in developing and implementing a next generation network peering infrastructure for our business.
- This includes developing processes and operating procedures for management.
- Provide architectural design standards for new network/telephony services as well as network impact assessments and network designs.
- Provide thought leadership in ensuring strategy correctly balances traditional networking technologies, software defined networking and cloud capabilities in providing robust, cost effective services.
