📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job SummaryThe Cutover Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the cutover activities for the ECC to S4/HANA SAP software upgrade project. This role will work closely with the project managers, workstream leads, technical leads, and business stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful transition to the new system.
- ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the cutover plan and checklist, including the identification of dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Manage the cutover team and assign tasks and roles for the cutover execution.
- Communicate the cutover status, issues, and escalations to the project manager and the steering committee.
- Coordinate the cutover rehearsals and validations, and document the lessons learned and action items.
- Ensure the readiness of the technical and functional teams, the business users, and the support teams for the cutover.
- Oversee the cutover execution and monitor the progress and performance of the cutover activities.
- Provide post-cutover support and handover the cutover documentation to the support team.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. Experience in cutover management, preferably in S4/HANA upgrade projects. Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and S4/HANA modules, processes, and best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications Certification in SAP S4/HANA or project management is a plus.
