The Float Pool Clinical Nurse provides patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. Contributes to the goals of the department by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and ThedaCare policy. Through collaborative practice with members of the care team, is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high quality of care provided by ThedaCare. Furthers the professional practice of nursing at ThedaCare by promoting a culture of innovation and a commitment to growth and professional development. Perk about the role:Premium pay. Full time benefits working only 10 days a monthStraight shifts. Opportunity to get experience in more departments like Med Surge, Cardiac, Neuro, and Oncology. The majority of your shifts will be at the Neenah or Appleton Hospital.
Schedule: 12 hour shifts. Every 3rd weekend is required to work (Fri-Sun). Rotating holiday schedule required
QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) or commitment to obtain within five years of hire. Two years experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital setting. Experience with Float Pool and/or Resource teams in healthcare settings. Current Wisconsin RN or compact nursing licensureAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
