📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for speaking with clients, contractors, and owners to accurately design and engineer projects. The ideal candidate will also have a very strong understanding and knowledge of designing Home Theater, Home Automation, and Lighting Control projects.
ResponsibilitiesDesign 3-12 projects simultaneouslyConceptualizing and creating project design packages based of proposals, sales information, and initial meetings with clients/architect/buildersMaintaining and updating all pertinent plans and documentation for projectsCreate and contribution to documents including AV Plans, Wire Schedule, Dimensions List, Elevation, Cabinet/Rack Drawings, Functional Schematics, Electrical Specifications, Wire Scaling information, Hookup DiagramsAdvise the PM regarding quality of project, review design changes and assess overall performance of systemEnsure the timely completion and delivery of project documentsMaintain proactive and regular communication, internally and externally, verbally and in writing, with clients, general contractors, and other project representatives to keep others informed about technical aspects of the project. Record and monitor total labor hoursAttend site walk throughs as needed, ensure information is recorded on network and shared with others. Update documents based on information from Close Out meeting
QualificationsStrong understanding Residential AV, Home Automation, and Lighting ControlStrong leadership and management skillsStrong verbal, written, and organizational skillsStrong ability to communicatePreferably 4-6 years of design and engineering experience
