POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for having a strong understanding of the equipment he/she uses, pick locations, pallet building, productivity measures and safety procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Inspects assigned jack for safety issuesEnters the proper information into the productivity measureIdentifies the correct pick location and pick sequence in accordance to the orderPicks the correct item and quantity, checking UPC’s or item descriptionsPlaces pick labels on the side of the casesCorrectly identifies Master Case locationsIdentifies and immediately reports miss-located productsShrink wraps and labels with correct truck, stop and other required informationStages pallets in appropriate bayListens for first and last call and obtains all out of stocks in a timely mannerKeeps area clean and debris out of work areaImmediately informs a supervisor or manager of any potential safety threatsObtains aisle-cleaning assignmentOperates pallet jack/push cart in a safe and efficient mannerReports to supervisor or lead any violation of company policyBuilds a stable and well cubed palletParks and recharges pallet jack in its appropriate spot at the end of your shiftPerform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location

QUALIFICATIONS

Understanding of Safety guidelinesStrong knowledge of applicable Bakco functions and RF systemsWarehouse/Operations preferred but not requiredUnderstanding of WMS preferred but not requiredAbility to select at established minimum rate for departmentAstute, close attention to detailUnderstand and properly follow all selecting procedures and verbal instructions in your respective area: grocery, repack, cooler/freezerPossess an understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lifting objects weighing from less than 20 lbs. to 60 lbs. consistentlyOccasionally pushing, sitting, touching, reaching, climbing, pulling, and gripping.
