Position DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position as Postdoctoral Research Associate in the William A. Brookshire Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering. The Research Associate will conduct their own research while working with and mentoring doctoral and undergraduate students in the area of catalytic reaction engineering. Research topics include experimental and modeling studies of methane conversion, reactors for decarbonization, among other topics. The research will include a combination of reactor synthesis and design, homogeneous and heterogeneous kinetic analysis, reaction thermodynamics and kinetics, reactor data analysis, parameter estimation, and optimization. Successful applicants should have strong background in reaction/reactor engineering with both experimental and modeling experience. The position may provide a path towards a research faculty appointment.
