Vaco Boston has partnered with our client who is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join their in-house legal team. They are looking for a highly motivated individual with litigation and bankruptcy experience.
Key Responsibilities include:Handling lawsuits from filing through judgment. Collaborating with internal restructuring and accounting teams with respect to preparing matters for litigation. Assisting with prelitigation mattersEngaging and supervising external local counsel to handle out of state mattersAssisting with other legal matters including bankruptcy and insolvency. Managing out-of-state dockets. Advising and providing legal analysis to business executives
Key Requirements/Qualifications:JD requiredLicensed attorney in Massachusetts.4+ years of commercial litigation experience. Corporate/transactional and/or bankruptcy experience a plus. Highly motivated with ability to manage simultaneous projects under deadline pressure in a dynamic and fluid environment. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
