📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The primary purpose of this position is to plan and communicate the production schedules in order to maximize plant efficiency. This position reports to the respective Value Stream Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the production planning function in the Flashing areaInitiate and communicate production schedules to the work centers and support functions.
- Issue and complete work center orders through the SAP system.
- Support Assistant Material Resource Specialists in training and system issues.
- Monitor incoming receipts and finish goods transferred to Central DCExecute the daily “Pick List” and ensure product is delivered within the established time.
- Lead integrated department Planning meetings.
- Train individuals or groups on systems on data collection, scheduling and working with handheld scanners.
- Performs other assignments as directed by local supervision.
Standard Work Schedule: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm (Monday - Thursday)
Starting Hourly Wage: $27.91 - $31.20 per hour. Compensation based on the skills and experience of the candidate.
Qualifications
A two-year Associates degree is preferred and at least one year of experience with an ERP system is required. High competency in computer applications (Excel and Word) and skills in organizing and planning is required Must possess good oral and written communication skillsGood math skills with attention to accuracy is requiredMust be team oriented and can work responsibly with little or no supervisionMust be able to work some flexible schedules to support production requirementsAbility to perform the essential functions assigned to the positionMust possess good problem solving skillsThe desire and ability to work in a team environment demonstrated through a positive quality, safety, attendance and good work historyCompliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in Employee Handbooks, on Company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communication is a requirement of the job.
