📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Vitalant ("Vye-TAL-ent") is the nation’s largest independent, nonprofit blood services provider exclusively focused on providing lifesaving blood and comprehensive transfusion medicine services for about 900 hospitals and their patients across the U.S. Every day, Vitalant needs to collect about 5,300 blood, platelet and plasma donations to help save lives. We are in need of good drivers that would drive Vitalant vehicles to deliver precious cargo to Vitalant facilities.
Shifts may range (4 - 8 hours)
Transportation Volunteer Role Description
- Deliver products to and from Vitalant facilities and hospitals within the community it serves.
- Pick up freshly collected blood products from Vitalant Mobile Blood Drives in a nearby community and deliver to Vitalant facility for processing.
- Deliver supplies to Vitalant’s blood centers or blood drives.
- We provide the vehicle and gas.
- Provide excellent customer service to our communities’ hospitals and their employees.
