Senior Corporate Accountant - Private Equity / Credit

A breakthrough provider of fund administration services is building out its management company corporate accounting division in LA/OC and is focused on finding sharp Senior Corporate Accountants based in SoCal who can operate remotely.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant BA degree and accounting experience in investment management (private equity, venture, hedge funds, credit funds. real estate funds etc). Fund admin and public accounting backgrounds highly desired.

Since being founded by industry veterans a few years ago, the company has grown to five offices globally, with over 150 employees servicing close to 200 clients with an aggregated AUM of $200B. Some responsibilities includeSupport multiple clients with all aspects of Management Company AccountingCalculate and record Revenues and Expenses as appropriateAllocate and process client payablesRecord inbound and outbound cash transactions and reconcile bank statementsActively partner with Fund Administration teams, maintaining due to manager records and reportingPrepare Portfolio Company invoices for reimbursementPrepare client financial statements and supporting workbooksSupport annual audit & 1099 processes for clientsPrepare closing calendars and client meeting agendasAttend and actively participate in client meetings

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting2-6+ years’ Experience preferably at Alternative Asset Management firmSolid understanding of accounting close cycle and underlying processes & concepts around General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and T&EProficient in accounting systems; prior experience with Sage Intacct a plusStrong organizational and communication skillsDesire to support external clients and ability to work on multiple client engagements concurrentlyOutgoing personality with a strong team and firm first mentalityDesire to learn and progress professionally
