Job Details
Individual will work under the direction of an experienced non-metallic engineer to collaborate with design teams and manufacturing engineers in the development of new designs and troubleshooting existing designs and processes. Assist engineers in understanding trade-offs when considering various non-metallic materials for designs. Job involves validation of materials and processes for new applications, writing and revising material specifications, and failure analysis. Reviewing material specifications (mostly polymers and adhesives)Consulting with design engineers to determine the suitability of materials for applicationsPreparing summary reportsAttending technical meetingsLab testing as neededComparing material properties
