About The Role
Berk-Tek, a Leviton Company, is looking for a Material Handler to join their copper network cable manufacturing operations in New Holland, PA!
This position is responsible for processing materials to support production by performing the duties involved in receiving, stocking, issuing, and/or shipping materials/supplies. Operates material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Starting pay of $21.00 and up based on experience. Shift premium of $1.25 for working 3rd shift.
Desirable shift schedules! 12-hour workdays on 3rd shift (7pm - 7am). We work just 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
Supports production by pulling and delivering all materials necessary to complete shop ordersSupports receiving by verifying conformance to invoices and stocking all received components on the appropriate shelf locationVerifies and maintains product identification and countPrepares inventory records and investigates discrepancies in stock countsPerforms weigh counts for materials and stores them as necessaryObtains, moves, sorts and packages products and materials
Qualifications
Certified to operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts, requiredUnderstanding of basic math skills - adding, subtracting and measuringBasic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in written formatAbility to multi-taskAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to use judgement related to identifying potential safety hazards
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED,requiredMinimum three (3) months forklift experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment
