Description

Under limited supervision, performs various clinical procedures and maintains related records. Provides general assistance to the cardiologists and sonographers. Work will include components of direct patient care, observation, documentation, transportation and general maintenance of the patient environment.

Schedule: Day Shift 7am-7pm, 3-12 hour shifts per week (36 hours), must be able to work every other weekend and rotating holidays

What You Will Do

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service/care appropriate to the age of the patients served, in accordance with MercyOne standards. Performs and maintains records of equipment maintenance, carries out necessary quality control to ensure that performance standards are satisfied. Performs all responsibilities of a Telemetry Tech as required, including monitoring and analyzing telemetry strips by following established policies and procedures. Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to operate SpaceLab equipment. Notifies Charge RN and patient's primary care RN of any heart rate or rhythm changes.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma/GED or must be at least 16 years old and actively pursuing high school diploma. Must successfully complete the Basic Arrhythmia class. Maintains certification in Basic Life Support and Iowa Mandatory Reporter. Must have a general working knowledge of computers and department specific software (i.e. Healthstream, internet, etc.) Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of MercyOne and Trinity Health. Is able to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team.
