Robert Walters is partnering with a leading global alternative asset management firm, looking to bring aboard a Director of Compliance to oversee the the compliance program of the firm's Middle Market Direct Lending (MMDL) business, as well as provide coverage of a BDC. This role requires regular interaction with senior management, as well as business, legal and compliance personnel across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of relevant compliance experience. Identify, escalate, and manage conflicts of interests within the businessOversee the business strategy from a regulatory perspective, including allocations and trading related guidanceCreate and maintain Compliance policies and proceduresServe as a liaison with outside auditors or regulatory bodiesProvide real-time advice to business groups on trading matters, including affiliate considerations, material non-public information and cross tradesLiaise with outside law firms, deal professionals, and other members of the firm's legal and compliance team to identify and mitigate potential conflicts
