Role DescriptionThis is a contract role for a Quantitative Programmer with experience in Java and statistical analysis tools. As a Quantitative Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications using Java. You will also utilize statistical analysis tools to analyze and interpret data for various projects. This is a hybrid role, with the primary location in Tampa, FL, but with flexibility for remote work.
QualificationsStrong knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming (OOP)Experience in back-end web development and software developmentProficiency in programming and statistical analysis toolsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a teamExperience in data analysis and statistical modeling is a plus
Required Skills:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related fieldDesign, develop, and maintain robust VAR models using Java programming language. Implement various statistical and mathematical techniques to accurately assess and quantify financial risk. Experience with statistical analysis tools and libraries (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB) is a plus
