Senior Security Engineer

Structured has an immediate opening for a Senior Security Engineer located in Oregon, Washington, or Illinois. This individual must be proficient in Cisco Security Solution, to join us on an exciting project for one of our valued customers.

As part of our team, you will execute all technical components of an enterprise sales and delivery cycle. These components include architecting complex solutions, providing demonstrations and presentations, leading technical discussions, developing product customizations, planning, and executing customer proof of concepts, providing product training and support, and leading rapid deployment efforts.

What You Will DoDesigns, installs, configures, troubleshoots, and manages security solutions. Researches, evaluates and recommends the selection of security-related tools and emerging technologies for clients. Interfacing with end-users for the purpose of designing and implementing security solutions and policy recommendations. Translating business requirements into functional/technical specifications. Develops solution implementation plans for customers. Responsible for increasing the probability of system success, reduce risk and reduce total life-cycle cost. Responsible for creating alternative designs to satisfy performance and cost criteria for customers. Assists engineers with complex technical tasks including debugging, supporting hardware modules and systems. Identifies and corrects faults and provides resolution of complex problem tickets escalated from Structured’s help desk. Effectively communicates Structured’s value proposition through Power Point presentations, proposals, and development of collateral as needed to drive the sales and branding of Structured. Assist sales personnel with pre-sales technical support; Leverage technical background to identify professional service opportunities in the areas of security, networking, storage/systems, virtualization, and voice/mobility. Supervising and checking the status of projects and work assignments. Document designs and scope projects in a clear, concise, and accurate manner. Supports and provides knowledge transfer to clients. Provides input for professional service statements of work (“SOW”) and create SOW’s as directed and provide project management services (as needed). Responsible for following the current policies and procedures for tracking your activities in our CRM tool, Salesforce.com. Additional duties as assigned.

Overcomes technical and business objections posed by prospective customers. Proactively learn and utilize new technologies, concepts and procedures as necessary based upon project requirements. Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization from end-user to senior management about both business and IT needs. Excellent project management, project scoping, troubleshooting, problem resolution, documentation and customer management skills required.

Experience You Will Bring to the TeamBachelor’s degree in information systems or equivalent experience. At least 7+ years’ experience in a technology-related field, including 7+ years’ experience in systems analysis.

Previous experience providing solution design and implementation preferred. Significant experience with Cisco ASA and Firepower network firewalls including AnyConnect remote access VPNs as well as IPSEC site-to-site tunnels. Experience with deploying Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). Field experience and knowledge of data networking and IP technologies including VLAN configuration, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and performing packet captures and analysis. Experience with Cisco content security products including ESA/CES, Umbrella, and Secure Internet Gateway (SIG). Experience working with Cisco Secure Endpoint. Experience working with multi-factor authentication solutions such as Duo. Experience working with Cisco Secure Network Analytics and Cisco Secure Workload are a plus. Cisco certifications including CCNA, CCNP or CCIE security are a plus. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA or similar are also a plus. Scripting and network automation skills are a plus.

Compensation: $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 (Annually)
